The weather has improved a little this week and we really notice the difference in their learning when there is a dry environment to play in. We have been doing our assessments on the children this week and we have really noticed how they have progressed. We are constantly amazed at how they interact with each other and their personal, social and emotional skills are excellent. We feel that they have reached the point when they are very settled and confident in all aspects of their day. We can now really embed those skills that they have mastered so that they will be confident learners and ready to move to their next year group after the summer.
We have been looking at trees this week and have noticed the blossom growing. We decided to paint some pictures on wood which the children really enjoyed doing. They had to use straws to blow the paint in different directions to make the branches. Then they moved the wood around to make the paint spread. The effect is very impressive.
Next week we will be learning about the meaning of Easter and we are hoping to have a visit from the vicar to hear the Easter story.
Have a good weekend.
