Happy New Year

This week we have been reading the story of The Enormous Turnip. The children have really understood the sequence of the story and have enjoyed pulling the turnip out of the ground. We are going to continue with the turnip next week and see if the children can create their own version.

There has been lots of dragon dancing in the unit this week to celebrate Chinese New Year. The children have been very creative using red and gold resources to represent good luck. We also cooked some noodles and tried to eat them with chop sticks.

Next week will be our last week before the holidays. We are going to be looking at some of the changes that are beginning to happen as we move closer to spring. It is also children's mental heath week and on Tuesday it is  safer internet day. We will be  using these themes throughout the week.

Please make sure you have signed up for your parent consultation and speak to me if you need any more information about this.

Have a great weekend.
